Paired with elegant gold foiling and soft coloring, this card becomes the perfect way to brighten someone’s day with “Just a Little Hello.”

I love combining sweet, whimsical images with sophisticated techniques, and the NEW Stampin’ Up! Hot Foil System made it easy to add just the right amount of shine. The delicate gold foiling frames the focal image beautifully while giving this simple design an elegant finish. A fresh take on a classic flower, proving that poinsettias aren’t just for the holidays.

The Best of Both Worlds

The gorgeous frame was created using the NEW Flourish & Frames Hot Foil Dies and Gold Hot Foil Roll. One of my favorite things about the Hot Foil System is how effortlessly it creates crisp, metallic accents that instantly elevate a handmade card.

To finish the greeting, I used the Sweetly Sentimental Hot Foil Dies to create the foiled sentiment strip. It adds just enough sparkle without taking away from the adorable scene between Pooh and Piglet.

Bringing Pooh & Piglet to Life

The charming image comes from the Sweet Old Friends Stamp Set, featuring everyone’s favorite bear and his best friend Piglet.

I colored the image using Stampin’ Blends in:

Crumb Cake
Cloud Cover
Barely Blush
Peaceful Pine
Golden Glow

The soft color palette gives the card a warm, storybook feel while allowing the gold foiling to remain the star of the show. Pooh’s rich golden color pairs beautifully with Piglet’s subtle blush tones, while the muted Cloud Cover sky creates a peaceful backdrop. The ground adds just enough interest without stealing the spotlight.

A Hot Foil Tip You’ll Love

One of my favorite discoveries is that Stampin’ Blends color beautifully over hot foiling without damaging the foil! The gold remains bright and crisp, making it easy to combine alcohol markers with elegant foiled details. It’s a fantastic way to add depth and dimension while keeping all that gorgeous shine intact.
